Synopsis

Marjane is a girl who lives in Iran of the 1970 in a Westernized family . Marjane different live events in the history of Iran as the Shah regime and its abuses of power, the fall of the shah and the revolution. The film begins when the fundamentalists seized power in an authoritarian manner and raises the Islamic Revolution called , forcing women to wear veils and imprisoning thousands. But Marjane also receives influences d the Western World (Punk, Michael Jackson, etc..) When a teenager is sent to a French lycée, while increasing fundamentalism in their country devastated by the war between Iraq and Iran .
